Connecting with local communities

As a venture built and run by indigenous people, Songtsam is closely tied to the local communities. We make every effort to benefit the communities in which we live: young people from local villages have opportunities to work for and take part in training programs at our hotels; in Benzilan we have built a community center for the villagers to provide a venue for social gatherings and traditional events; we work with local craftsmen and architects to explore new ways to protect traditional arts and crafts; and we also encourage the development of all local social enterprises.
