Shangri-la and Lijiang are the gate towns to reach any Songtsam lodge. Guests can fly to Shangri-la or Lijiang through Kunming, the capital of Yunnan Province.

Kunming: Many flights connect Kunming and other major cities in China. There are also direct flights from Hong Kong and Singapore

Daily - three daytime flights and one night flight from Kunming to Shangri-la.

Weekly - flights from Lhasa (Tibet) to Shangri-la.

Multiple flights daily between Kunming and Lijiang

Free transfer service between airport/bus station and Songtsam Shangri-la upon request – please request in advance.

Songtsam Shangri-la, Meili and Benzilan are on the road connecting Yunnan and Tibet.

Private transportation can also be reserved at the lodges. Roads between the lodges are paved and in good condition, however we may have to travel 10-15 minutes along a bumpy road that connects the main roads with Songtsam Lodges. (Because the road between Shangri-la and Meili is under reconstruction right now, driving time is estimated.)
