At the junction of Nushan mountain and Biluo snow mountain, the Lancang (Upper Mekong) River flows southward through mountains and valleys. 
It is a great place to feel the collision of Chinese and Western cultures. 
At the height of the village, through the window of the western style of Songtsam Lodge Cizhong, looking at the opposite vineyard,
is the one hundred years old Cizhong church, which is a combination of Gothic architecture and Chinese ancient architecture.
Black and white photos on the wall of hotel rooms taken by Western explorers during the Republic of China tell the history. 
In the village, people with different faiths and ethnics live together in the same land, peacefully and tranquilly.

At Songtsam Cizhong Lodge, guests can also visit the Songtsam Cizhong Winery, enjoy tastings of high-altitude wines, and, during harvest season, even have the rare opportunity to join local villagers in hand-picking grapes straight from the vineyard.
